Janet M. Litwack, MS, RD, CLC, worked for over four years as a dietitian in the WIC program at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.  While there, she gained experience and was trained in lactation counseling and earned her certification as a lactation counselor. She counseled and educated pregnant, lactating and postpartum women, and parents of children ages five years and under in proper eating/feeding habits.

Janet earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health and Nutrition Sciences in May 2001 from City University of New York’s Brooklyn College and a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition through New York University in 2006. She completed her dietetic internship through NYU at New York Methodist Hospital.

While in Brooklyn College, she was awarded the Pearl Gross Brickner scholarship for excellence in nutrition studies.  At NYU, she was invited to join the prestigious Kappa Omicron Nu national honors society for human sciences. She is an active member of the American Dietetic Association as well as the Maryland Dietetic Association.

Janet is a registered dietitian and a certified lactation counselor. She has a passion for helping people live healthier, happier lives through proper nutrition and believes in empowering her clients to do so by arming them with current nutrition research & individualized guidance.
